Floating the River

I love living in CA. There is so much to do! Last weekend we floated down the American River with some of Jimmy's buddies from school. I learned that the following conditions are required to have fun floating down a river:

1- It must be over 80 degrees out. I was freezing.
2- You must be able to endure 6 hours of doing nothing but floating (much nicer when it's hot!)
3- You must be able to drink beer. We-do not- and therefore were left cold, for 6 hours, and had to be the designated drivers, the sober paddlers, and conscious boat steer-ers.
4- You need a nice tube or raft. My bum and ankles were freezing by the end of the trip. AND of course the Beer had the nicest raft of us all.

But other than that--IT WAS A BLAST! hehe. Maybe next week when it's 98 degrees we'll give it a 2nd try, with a sober crowd of course.

This is how the river was advertised...
And this is how it really was...
