Dog Obsessed

Dog Obsessed. That's what I've become. Could it be some part of me yearning for a baby and I've simply appeased it by loving a dog like a human? Maybe. Ok--probably yes. Growing up, we never had a dog. In fact, my mom and I counted that we've owned about 30 cats (we won't tell you what happened to them all). But I married a man loves dogs, grew up with dogs, and begged me for 2 years to buy a dog. So, I had some rules.

It had to be small. It couldn't shed. It couldn't smell. It couldn't bark a lot.

Which is why our Silky-Yorkie is perfect. She's 6 lbs full grown, doesn't bark, has been so easy to train to do tricks, is submissive (but a little head strong), and perfect. Plus--there is nothing like coming home and having her act like you just saved the world. Now I understand why dogs are man's best friend.
This is what Roxy would look like if we had a convertible!

Here is me and Roxy at the gas station. She is actually sitting in her "car seat" (told you I'm obsessed). We hook that onto the front seat and she can sit in it and stick her head out the window.

Roxy at the beach. HA! She looks like an old grandpa when it's windy.
She didn't like the water
Us at natural bridges. We love taking her with us on all our adventures.
This is cooper. He outweighs her by about 5 pounds but she's about 3 times as fast as him so it makes up for it. He lives in our apartment complex too. If I say, "Let's go get Cooper" I can let her off the leash and she takes me directly to his front door 3 buildings away.

If you were like me--and didn't understand why people loved their dogs so much--you should try it.
