Yosemite

Fact: I don't like to camp. This statement usually surprises everyone I tell since I love the outdoors, nature, and being active. So, is it that brisk air you smell in the morning while you're cuddled in your sleeping bag that I hate? No. Is it the chatter around the campfire? No. What it is really is that I don't like to be dirty (under my finger nails, in the tent, in my hair), I don't like the effort camp-cooking requires just to get a meal that doesn't even taste that good, and I don't really know how to do it. So--given these attributes, taking a trip to Yosemite seemed daunting.

I've wanted to take a trip to Yosemite ever since we moved here. Given the above information I only semi-looked forward to it. Well this weekend was the perfect Yosemite day trip. 1-a couple in the ward who knows the area and the best hikes invited us. 2- we got to eat normal food like pizza and burgers. 3- We didn't have to camp. In the words of Michael Scott this is a "Win-Win-Win".
Look at that view. Breathtaking!
Jimmy and I at one of the waterfalls
Our last stop before going home
Mirror Lake (hence the amazing reflection)
I threw this picture in here because I was mid-sneeze and you can see Jimmy slightly grimacing.
The whole gang
Half Dome. We didn't climb it and I actually don't have the desire to. But I've heard it's intense and totally amazing!
One of the falls
We saw tons of deer just 15 feet away from us. They definitely weren't scared around humans.
The first water fall we stopped at (I can't remember the name).
This is one of our most fun day trips we've been on. Yosemite is SOOOO GORGEOUS! The air is fresh, the sun was out, it wasn't dirty (the trails were paved for the most part!), and there was wildlife everywhere.

Another Blog

Yes folks...I am managing another blog for my brother who is going on a mission! Can you believe it? So if you know Travis, feel free to visit the blog and leave a guess for where you think he's headed to on the mission!

Few more pics

I couldn't resist--Daniel just sent me some more of these pictures he took of us and I just had to post them. If these pictures don't convince you to take a trip to Lake Tahoe--I don't know what will.
