Has anyone ever noticed the way you eat specific foods is different than the rest of the world?
Lately I've been noticing that I have a particular way to eat
bananas, gushers, peppermint patties, Life cereal, ice cream with sugar cones, etc.
For example, there is no other way to eat a gusher than biting the tip off and then
smashing the fruit snack between your fingers so the gush of juice comes out. Then you lick that off the gusher. When it's gone, put the fruit snack in your mouth, insert tongue into that hole where the juice use to be, and just let it dissolve. Anyone do this too?
Peppermint Patties. Thanks to an old roommate Marie, every time I eat a peppermint
patty I take it out of the wrapper, and then I break it in half right next to my ear. Never tried it? TRY IT! The noise it makes is so satisfying. I love the contrasting colors of the black:white of the peppermint patty. So--I
proceed to take the smallest bites possible, staring at the white exterior covered in chocolate. (I love the contrasting colors of Ding Dongs too--although I haven't had one of those since I was 11).
I won't even go into details about eating a
banana, the ice cream with the sugar cone, Life cereal or the other foods I seem to savor (or just eat weird).
Regardless of it all--I love food ;0)
